Coach Matt Roberts is in his third season as Junior Varsity head coach.

A 2005 graduate, Matt started at third base for the Aviators his senior year.  Coach Roberts first coaching stint at Butler was in 2012, when he coached freshmen team for the 2012 season.

Professionally Matt works for Roberts Electric and is married to the former Stacy Wintrow.

Coach Kyle Coby returned to his alma mater in 2018, officially joining the Butler staff as a Junior Varsity assistant.


2009 Butler graduate, Kyle was also a former outfielder for the Aviators.


Professionally Kyle works at Action Sports Center and is married to the former Holly Sunderland.

Coach Taylor Fisher joins the Junior Varsity staff as an assistant, after successfully leading the Junior Varsity B team over the last few seasons.


Coach Fisher was a three year letterman at National Trail H.S. where he continued to work as the varsity assistant for four years, taking the Blazers to a Division III  District Finals against eventual state champion Oakwood in 1997. 

Coach Fisher continued coaching with the Franklin Wildcats as the head coach of the Freshman team. From 2008 -2011 he produced three winning seasons and helped the varsity team win back-to-back Division II Regional Semifinals against Archbishop McNicholas, losing in the Regional Final in 2009 to Columbus St. Francis DeSales and in 2010 to the eventual state champion Jonathan Alder. 

Coach Fisher's passion for baseball extends to playing, as he is presently in the Roy Hobbs Amateur League and is an avid umpire. 

Taylore Cherry returns to Butler as an assistant after a collegiate and professional baseball career.


Cherry is a 2012 graduate of Butler, where he was a four year starter on the mound for the Aviators.  Rated as one of the top players in the nation, Cherry went on to play collegiately at the University of North Carolina.


Cherry was drafted in the 32nd round of the 2015 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox.
