XENIA - The Butler Express rolled on Monday evening, as the Aviators run-ruled Xenia 11-0 in just five innings.

Pitcher Evan Ables (3-2) was locked in from the mound and got plenty of run support from his teammates, spelling doom for the Buccs. The junior righty went the distance for Butler, fanning eight while just allowing one hit.

Offensively the Aviators scattered twelve hits and blew the game wide open in the opening inning, plating six runs right out of the gate.

Freshmen Hunter Richardson (2 RBI) and Max Rubins (1 RBI) finished 2-for-3, while Joe Mendy and Gage Harestad (1 RBI) went 2-for-4. Mendy also added a double.

Casey Bennett delivered 2 RBI and tripled in the win - lifting Butler to 17-2, 12-1 on the season.

The Aviators now look to the rivalry series with Tippecanoe - with Butler heading north for a Tuesday tilt at Clawson Field. The Aviators and Red Devils will conclude the season series "Friday Night Lights" style, with a 7:00 pm first pitch at Butler. The game will also serve as Senior Night for Butler.
