GREENVILLE - Butler added another 20-win season to the list Tuesday night, with an eye-popping 20-0 win at Greenville.
Sophomore Hunter Richardson (4-2) pitched a gem, working four innings and allowing just two hits while striking out eight in the shutout. Junior Alex Ables came on in the fifth inning to retire the side.
The Greenwave did not do themselves any favors, issuing sixteen base on ball, in addition to the ten hits that the Aviators hammered out.
Richardson also had a day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, three runs and a double. Mitch Strehle finished 2-for-3 with tow RBI and three runs.
Cayden Borchers doubled in the win and contributed three RBI.
The Aviators and Greenwave will wrap-up the series Thursday at Butler, as the Aviators celebrate Senior Night at 6:30 pm and get the game underway at 7:00 pm.
