XENIA - The Aviators completed their sweep of Xenia Wednesday afternoon with an 11-1 win in six innings.
Butler scattered thirteen hits in the blowout win, getting big production out of a number of players. Mason Reckner was 3-for-3 with 2 RBI, Austin Flohre was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and a triple and Hunter Richardson went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and a triple.
Jackson Schilling was 2-for-4, while Koby Dues added 2 RBI and Paxton Dwenger and Mitch Strehle each contributed RBI's in the Aviator win.
Mason Recker recorded the win for Butler from the mound working two innings, while Landon Case, Alex Ables and Koby Dues provided relief and teamed for four strikeouts.
With the win, Butler improves to 13-3, 10-1 and sets up an MVL showdown Friday afternoon at Piqua, as the Aviators face the first place Indians who currently sit at 12-4, 12-0. Fist pitch is set for 5:00 pm.
