WEST CARROLLTON - Butler (12-2, 8-1) bounced back Friday with a 5-1 win over West Carrollton. Evan Ables went the distance for the Aviators, allowing just one hit through 7 innings of work. Ables struck out eight Pirates in the conference win.
Cayden Borchers was 3-for-3 from the plate with three runs, Joe Mendy went 3-for-4 with a run and RBI. Cason Bennett finished 2-for-3 with a run and RBI, and Eric Morris went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
The Aviators return home Saturday, for a non-conference meeting with Springboro (11-2, 6-1) at 11:00 am.
