Butler Run-Rules Greenwave 10-0

VANDALIA - On a night when the Aviators celebrated their 2023 seniors, the visiting Greenwave had little to celebrate in a 10-0, run-rule victory for Butler. While the Aviators only managed five hits in the five inning contest, four Greenville errors added to the onslaught.

Butler starter Jordan Taylor (4-1) showed no mercy from the hill, mowing down five of the seven Greenville batters that he faced in his two innings of no-hit baseball.

Mason Reckner, Cayden Borchers and Kyle Myers worked the remaining three innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five.

Max Rubins finished 2-for-2 with a run and Jayden Watkins went 1-for-3 with a two-run triple.

Alex Ables, Austin Flohre, Max Frye, Adam Townsend and Josh Morris each added an RBI in the win.

The Aviators (21-5, 15-3) conclude the regular season Saturday evening, as they will be the nightcap for the all day Prep Baseball Report Spring Classic taking place at Butler High School. First pitch between the Aviators and Moeller Crusaders (22-3, 8-1) is slated for approximately 6:45 pm.
